STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Committee
The STEM Committee is dedicated to enriching education in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math at EHS. We advocate for STEM opportunities for our students, and provide financial support for STEM-related academic and extracurricular programs. Initiatives and projects may include visiting scientists, technologists, special educational programs, materials and equipment for non-classroom activities, new clubs, outside consultants, or grade-wide field trips. STEM partners with faculty, students, and parents to support clubs, organize competitions as well as our popular STEM career night, and purchase classroom equipment, such as PCR lab equipment to perform CRISPR gene editing. For information on STEM Committee meetings and events, see the district calendar or contact edgemont.ptsa.stem@gmail.com.
